This unique panel combines our Comprehensive STD Panel and our Comprehensive Female Panel.
The Comprehensive STD Panel consists of the following tests:
- Syphilis (Rapid Plasma Reagin Test)
- Herpes (HSV1 & HSV2)
- Hepatitis B
- Hepatitis C
The Comprehensive Female Panel includes tests to evaluate essential female metabolic and chemical functions in the body and to screen for hormone and thyroid disorders.
You take care of everyone but if you’re not healthy who’s going to take care of you? It’s important to take time for your health so you can be at your best. The Comprehensive Female Panel includes basic tests to screen for cardiac risk, metabolic and kidney function while also measuring female hormone levels that are required for energy, bone mass and mental clarity as we age. Over time, female hormone levels drop leading to fatigue, weight gain, loss of sexual desire and moodiness. Although this is a normal part of aging and occurs naturally between the ages of 40 and 55, it can also be caused by other disorders leading to extreme symptoms.
In addition to the basic wellness tests, Complete Blood Count,Comprehensive Metabolic Panel and Lipids, the Comprehensive Female Panel tests for female and male hormones including Estradiol, Progesterone and Testosterone. It is normal for Estradiol and Progesterone to rise during puberty and then fall when women reach perimenopause and menopause. These tests will measure the level of Estradiol and Progesterone in the blood to evaluate ovarian function and monitor follicular development during ovulation. Low levels of these female hormones may increase a woman’s risk of heart disease, stroke, osteoporosis and fractures and cause hot flashes, night sweats, weight gain and loss of libido.
Women also produce a small amount of testosterone that contributes to maintaining muscle mass and libido while helping to control weight. While the level of testosterone also decreases with age, extremely low levels can cause weight gain and low libido.
The Thyroid Stimulating Hormone and Urinalysis tests can detect thyroid or kidney disorders or infections. Women are 5 to 8 times more likely to experience hyperthyroidism or hypothryroidism (too much or too little thyroid hormone) as they age leading to weight gain or loss, lack of energy or heart palpitations. These conditions can be easily treated to get you back on track and feeling like yourself again.
